AUSTRAC Urges Inactive Digital Currency Exchange Firms to Withdraw Registrations
The Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) has recently launched a campaign urging inactive digital currency exchange (DCE) firms to either start using their registrations or risk having them canceled. This initiative, known as the “Use it or Lose it” campaign, is also set to impact crypto ATM providers, according to AUSTRAC’s official announcement.
Identification of Inactive DCEs
Currently, there are 427 registered DCEs in Australia, although not all of them are actively offering exchange services.
